dvGarage, the CG training facility co-founded by Alex Lindsay, has just released a DVD from their Guerilla FX event from earlier this year, which covered many aspects of CG and VFX work including the impact of desktop systems. Among the participants were ILM VFX Supervisor John Knoll, prequels animatics lead David Dozoretz, matte painter extraordinaire Eric Chauvin and Alex Lindsay himself.

Steve Williams will direct the 6 spots of the campaign which will feature talking animals. Also featured during the Superbowl, new teaser trailers for Signs and Men in Black 2.

DVGarage Shows Compositing, Bluescreen and Lightsaber Techniques

DVGarage, the CG training company cofounded by ex-ILMer Alex Lindsay has just released a new product geared towards teaching compositing techniques. Named the Composite Toolkit, currently in beta, it will include a keyer and practice scenes to teach the fundamentals of bluescreen work and composting. The scenes consist of a fight scene with lightsabers, choreographed by Dave Macomber of the fan film Duality fame.
