The time is approaching when SIGGRAPH is gearing up. One again ILM will have a booth at the Exhibition Floor of SIGGRAPH 2003 which will take place from July 27 to July 31, 2003 at the San Diego Convention Center.
ILM will be located at booth 3428. Other VFX and Animation companies already signed up are Blue Sky Studios, ESC, PDI/Dreamworks, Rhythm and Hues, Imageworks, Pixar, and Big Idea Productions. Major commercial companies like Alias/Wavefront, Softimage and Discreet have also chosen their booths. You can get more info here:
Next month the list of courses will appear online along with an overview of the schedule of all SIGGRAPH events, and in March online registration for SIGGRAPH and booking for hotels will begin. Because of the tough economic times, SIGGRAPH will only be 5 days long instead of the customary 6 days. Panels and CAL (Creative Applications Lab) have been cut, but the full programs of Papers, Courses (probably round 35 course spread across 2.5 days, instead of 59 spread across 3 days like last year) and Animation Festival will be retained. Much of the core of SIGGRAPH will still be there intact or slightly reduced.
