SIGGRAPH 2003 has posted its list of accepted pieces for Animation Festival. ILM has one accepted, an R&D reel. Eternal Gaze, by Sam Chen, took Best Animated Short, while Tim Tom, by Romain Segaud and Christel Pougeoise at Supinfocom, took Jury Honors. Other studios with pieces include ESC, Imageworks, Digital Domain, Framestore/CFC, Weta Digital, Rhythm and Hues, Tippett Studio, Glassworks, Aardman, Blur, Passion Pictures, and covering such projects as The Matrix Reloaded, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Star Trek: Nemesis, Daredevil, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, xXx, and many more.

For SIGGRAPH 2003, the Computer Animation Festival has selected 76 pieces for presentation at the conference, based on creative and technical excellence, from among 635 submissions. Twenty-five of the selected entries will be shown in the Electronic Theater and 52 in the Animation Theaters (one piece is shown in both). The Electronic Theater line up includes 13 studio/production pieces, 13 non-US entries, and 5 student submissions.
ILM's piece will be part of the Electronic Theatre.
