The Australian Effects and Animation Festival (AEAF) 2002 will have an all day seminar on December 3rd about the VFX work of Star Wars Episode 2. Among the speakers are Rob Coleman, Animation Director, Brian Gernand, Model Shop Supervisor, Daryl Munton, Technical Director, and Indira Guerrieri, Sequence Supervisor. They will discuss all aspects of the work, from CG characters, miniature use, crowd simulations and much more.
Other panels include Jim Rygiel and Randy Cook of Weta Digital, on the Lord of the Rings VFX work, Mike Milne of Framestore/CFC, on the work for Dinotopia, Photon VFX, on their work on Ghost Ship and other films, Animal Logic, on commercials work, and many more.
