ILM Wins Three 2005 VES Awards for War of the Worlds

Last night the 4th Annual VES Awards, recognizing the best work from 2005, were handed at the Hollywood Palladium. ILM won in 3 categories, all for their work in War of the Worlds: Best Single VFX of the Year, Best Models and Miniatures and Best Compositing. Former ILM members John Lasseter and Jim Morris were awarded special awards for their contributions to the industry.

Several other former members from ILM also won: Joe Letteri for King Kong (which also won 3 awards), Habib Zargarpour for Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Eric Chauvin for Lost "Exodus Part 2". You can read a list of all the winners here:
