Animation Director Rob Coleman will discuss the creation of digital characters at the Museum of Science in Boston on November 4, 2005, which recently opened the exhibit Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination.
The exhibit will contain several props and miniatures from all 6 Star Wars films. The exhibit will be in Boston until April 30, 2006 and then move to other museums. You can get more information here:
The Museum of Science in Boston is also planning 3 other talks with ILM members covering the character, concept and industrial design and the VFX work in the movies. Also the Imax film by NOVA/WGBH Boston Special Effects: Anything Can Happen, which includes a look at how special effects for Star Wars were created, will be shown for the duration of the exhibit.
