VFXWorld.com has an article dealing with the new generation of Genesis high definition cameras and how they are impacting the creation of VFX. Former ILM member Scott E. Anderson and who is currently working on Superman Returns discusses some of the issues, advantages and impact on the new cameras.
Scott E. Anderson worked in the early days of CG after the Pixar spin-off on such projects like The Abyss and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. After leaving ILM he would be involved on such projects as Starship Trooper, Hollow Man and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. You can read it here:
On an unrelated note the SideFX website has posted online their Houdini 2005 reel. Former ILM member Steve "Spaz" Williams, who also worked The Abyss and Terminator 2: Judgment Day and is currently directing the CG animated The Wild at C.O.R.E, discusses Houdini . Also The Orphanage VFX Supervisor Ryan Tudhope mentions how Houdini was used in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D. You can watch it here:
