Two ILM Projects Nominated for 2005 Academy Best VFX

This morning Academy President Sid Ganis and actress Mira Sorvino announced the nominations for the 78th Academy Awards. The three nominated movies for Achievement in Visual Effects are: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, King Kong and War of the Worlds.
The nominees are:
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe: Dean Wright, Bill Westenhoffer, Jim Berney and Scott Farrar. Work mainly done by Rhythm and Hues, Imageworks, ILM, New Deal Studios, Studio C, Digital Dream, Sandbox Effects, Illusion Arts, Pacific Title and Art Studio, Soho Visual Effects, Svengali Visual Effects and Hatch Production.

King Kong: Joe Letteri, Christian Rivers, Brian Van't Hul and Richard Taylor. Work done by Weta Digital.

War of the Worlds: Dennis Muren, Pablo Helman, Randy Dutra and Daniel Sudick. Work done by ILM.
